H-share is a special type of stock in the Hong Kong stock market. The special thing about it is that it is issued by mainland Chinese companies, but the listing place is in Hong Kong. These shares are called H-shares because they are listed in Hong Kong.

The issuance and trading of H-shares are usually regulated and managed by the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. These stocks are priced in Hong Kong dollars and can be purchased by international investors and Hong Kong investors.
