Denmark, as an important country in Northern Europe, not only attracts world attention with its beautiful natural scenery and rich historical culture but also plays a pivotal role in international conferences. Among them, the most notable is the 15th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and the 5th Conference of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol, also known as the Copenhagen Climate Conference, which was held in the Danish capital of Copenhagen.
The Copenhagen Climate Conference took place from December 7th to 18th, 2009, with representatives from 192 countries gathered to discuss the challenges and solutions to global climate change. The main objective of the conference was to reach a consensus on the post-2012 action framework for global climate change, including key issues such as reducing greenhouse gas emissions, providing financial support, and technology transfer.
Although the conference did not result in a legally binding agreement, it remains an important milestone in the global effort to address climate change. It has promoted cooperation and dialogue among countries on climate change issues, urged countries to pay more attention to the impact of climate change on human society and the earth's ecology, and laid the foundation for global sustainable development.
