G20 is an international economic cooperation forum, established in Berlin, Germany on December 16, 1999. The group brings together leaders of advanced and developing economies, as well as different regions, representing a wide range of countries and 2/3 of the world's population.

The purpose of the G20 is to promote open and constructive discussions among industrialized developed countries and emerging markets on substantive issues, seeking cooperation to promote international financial stability and sustained economic growth. In accordance with previous practices, the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank attend meetings of the organization.
