This formula was also confirmed by the medical and pathological experiments of Tongji Medical University to be able to effectively resist aflatoxin. In 1985, the then national leader inspected Chongqing and praised it after tasting it. After returning to Beijing, the Administration Bureau of the State Council Affairs Office designated it as a state banquet beverage. In 1990, Tianfu Cola established its first bottling plant in the capital of the Soviet Union, Moscow. At the same time, the Japanese Fengjian Corporation took the initiative to act as an agent and set up a company in the World Trade Center in the United States to exclusively sell Tianfu Cola.

2009 年，天府可乐集团向法院提起诉讼，重庆市第五中级法院已开庭审理。经过审理，法院认为百事公司对法院管辖权异议已裁定被驳回，天府可乐配方及生产工艺是属于天府可乐集团的商业秘密，合资时也未作价入股合资公司，百事公司应停止使用并返还。但对天府可乐集团提出的百事公司侵犯商业秘密并要求民事赔偿的诉讼请求，法院以缺乏事实证据予以驳回。

After the trial, the court held that PepsiCo's objection to the jurisdiction of the court had been rejected by the ruling. The formula and production process of Tianfu Cola were the trade secrets of Tianfu Cola Group. When the joint venture was formed, they were not valued as shares in the joint venture company. PepsiCo should stop using and return them. However, the court rejected the lawsuit request of Tianfu Cola Group that PepsiCo infringed trade secrets and demanded civil compensation due to the lack of factual evidence.

天府可乐与百事可乐品牌之争首轮获胜，这也是近年来中国民族品牌与外国品牌交锋的首次胜利。
